The nupps form very solid spots on a light and airy koekiruad, counter balancing the holes. Having got a copy of the new Estonian lace book, I wanted the old one. I was immediately worried by the lack of even the most basic English translation; I had expected that there would be a leaflet with at least a translation of the symbols, but no such luck.

I just love Estonian lace. These spreads show what most of the book looks like. I have been wanting it for quite a while! There are far more patterns in this one, but they are not as well set out as in the new one. Can you tell I am being consumed by everything lace?
